Your typed lab report on Environment Skills is due SEPTEMBER 11. That's a one week extension.

5th period have Chesapeake Bay Case Study ready tomorrow.

Please organize your notebooks with sections:

1. Course Syllabus, and Reading Timeline

2.  Notes

3. Labs

4. Case Studies

As you listen to The Lorax by Dr. Seuss look closely at the images.

Consider:

1. What are the indicators of environmental degradation?
2. What are the signs of ecosystem collapse?
3. What are the keystone species?
4. What nutrients (carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorous, sulfur, water) are lost as the various species disappear?

This week you will work with a group and use the  story of the Lorax to explain an assigned biogeochemical cycle.

Your group will create a presentation with modified drawings from the Lorax. Your presentation will explain the cycling of nutrients in the biogeochemical cycles.

Here's a PDF of the book from which you can borrow images...though many more, and better ones may be found online. Here's the powerpoint.

Tuesday - Team Planning. Compare notes.

Wednesday- Complete drawings.
